Overview & Core Principles

PotatoDog LLC ("PotatoDog", "We", "Us", or "Our") builds independent consumer applications and provides specialized B2B cloud engineering services. Our engineering philosophy is anti-wrapper and privacy-first: core application logic, mathematical calculations, and inference run locally on user hardware whenever technically feasible.

This Privacy Policy explains how We handle information across our website (potatodogdev.com), our mobile applications published via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store (including Simple Bill Tracker, Atom Whisper, StillGud, Money Buddy, and related software), and our technical intake channels.

// 02. Terminology

Interpretation and Definitions

Company: PotatoDog LLC, an independent software studio and engineering consultancy.
Service: The website potatodogdev.com, associated client portals, and all mobile applications distributed under the PotatoDog LLC developer accounts on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
On-Device Data: User data stored exclusively in sandboxed device memory, local SQLite databases, or the Apple Secure Enclave / Android Keystore, with zero transmission to external cloud services.
Usage Data: Standard server access telemetry (such as IP addresses, user agent headers, and request timestamps) generated during web requests.
// 03. Consumer Mobile Applications & App Store Compliance

On-Device Privacy & Zero Telemetry

Our consumer applications are engineered to protect user confidentiality through isolated local execution:

  • Simple Bill Tracker (Local Bill Tracker): All recurring bill calculations, liquidity forecasting curves, and financial inputs execute 100% on-device. We do not integrate third-party bank scraping aggregators, do not store financial credentials, and do not track user balances.
  • Atom Whisper: Voice command recognition, quantized Small Language Model (SLM) inference, and cryptographic Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) payload signing occur locally on user hardware. Speech audio and vehicle cryptographic keys remain strictly in device storage.
  • StillGud: Receipt and packaging text extraction is handled via on-device optical character recognition (Google ML Kit). Inventory records remain in local device storage.
  • No Tracking SDKs: Our mobile apps contain zero third-party advertising SDKs, zero cross-app tracking identifiers (such as IDFA or GAID), and zero third-party behavioral analytics platforms.
// 04. Web Data & Engineering Intake

Information Collected via Web Services

When you interact with our website or submit an architecture audit request, we process only the minimum necessary technical information:

Voluntary Technical Intake

When requesting a 48-Hour Architecture Audit or Engineering SWAT sprint, you voluntarily provide company name, technical lead email, infrastructure provider details, and technical challenge summaries.

Diagnostic Web Logs

Standard web server access logs (IP address, browser type, referral URI, timestamps) are generated automatically by Google Cloud infrastructure for DDoS mitigation, rate limiting, and uptime verification.

// 05. Infrastructure Hardening

Google Cloud Infrastructure & Security Standards

Our cloud infrastructure is hosted on Google Cloud Platform and managed under strict Infrastructure-as-Code standards:

  • Cryptographic Digest Pinning: Production containers are deployed using immutable SHA256 image digests.
  • Least-Privilege Access: Automated IAM service accounts with zero permanent administrative credentials.
  • Encryption Standards: TLS 1.3 encryption in transit with forward secrecy and AES-256 encryption at rest.
  • Distroless Runtimes: Minimalist execution containers containing no package managers or unnecessary shell binaries.
// 06. App Store Payments & Subscriptions

In-App Purchases and Billing

All in-app purchases, lifetime license unlocks, and subscription tiers offered within our iOS applications are processed exclusively through Apple Media Services using Apple StoreKit. For Android applications, purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. PotatoDog LLC does not receive, store, or process credit card numbers or banking payment credentials.

// 07. Data Lifecycle

Data Retention and Deletion

On-device application records remain under user control at all times. Deleting an application or clearing application cache removes all local databases and configuration files immediately. Information submitted via engineering audit forms is retained only for the duration of the technical engagement and required legal record-keeping.

// 08. Rights & Legal Compliance

Disclosures, CCPA, GDPR, and Children's Privacy

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties or data brokers. We may disclose information only if strictly required by valid legal process (such as a court order or subpoena).

Users in relevant jurisdictions (including California under CCPA/CPRA and the European Economic Area under GDPR) have rights to request confirmation, access, correction, or deletion of any stored personal information. Our services are not directed to individuals under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

// 09. Communications

Policy Changes & Contact Information

We may periodically update this policy to reflect new product releases or regulatory updates. Changes become effective upon publication with an updated revision date.
